Remembering back when my mother was going through radiation, I insisted she remain positive. Hopelessly devoted to trying anything to get through it, she had a set of sticky notes with little affirmations written on them like "I am healthy", " I am a non-smoker" and the one that stood out to me most was "I am Strong".
